How To Make A Standard Bow In Durango Wildlands

One of the easiest and most powerful way to hunt dinosaurs in Durango Wildlands right now is by using bow. Majority of the players right now are using bows as their primary weapon. Simply because it's very easy to use yet very powerful.

So, here are the things you need to craft a standard bow.


First, you need you Weapon Crafting skill level 20 or above. You can pick Engineer class to instantly get level 20 weapon crafting. Or, you can simply level up your weapon crafting by making basic tools like stone blade, knifes, axes, or hammers. You are going going to need them anyways.

Go to Skills > Weapon Crafting > Bow > Standard Bow and learn the skill. You have to spend 3 skill points to learn this skill.

Once you learn the Standard Bow crafting skill. Go to Craft/Build > Weapon and you will notice that you are now able to craft Wooden Bow Limb. You need a wooden bow limb first in order to make a standard bow.

Remember to go to level 15 islands or above in order to gather level 15 materials.

To make a Wooden Bow Limb you need these materials:

•  2x Long Stick (level 15 or above) - Extended Stick is qualified as Long Stick. So you need to craft 2x Extended Sticks. You need to gather 4x branch + 2x stalk.
• Strap (level 15 or above) - You just need to gather 1x stalk.

When you have the materials for the Wooden Bow Limb, you have to find a level 20 Workbench and make sure you have tools all the time (it is a must to have them all the time). 

In case you don't have level 20 workbench, just go to any level 20 island. The camps there have level 20 Workbench for everyone.

After crafting Wooden Bow Limb, you now have to gather materials for the actual Standard Bow. Just go to Craft/Build > Weapon > Standard Bow. 

To make Standard Bow you need:

• Bow Limb - You already have this.
• 2x Straw Rope (level 15 or above) - To craft 2 Straw Ropes you need to gather 4x Stalks.
• Long Strap (level 15 or above) - Extended Strap is qualified as Long Strap. To craft extended strap you need 2x Stalk.

After gathering and crafting the remaining materials, you need to go back to the Workbench then you can start crafting your Standard Bow.

If you don't want to waste your skill points crafting only bows or you don't want to level up your weapon crafting skill, you can simply buy bows in the market. They are not so expensive especially the low level ones.

You can save a lot of time by simply buying weapons. Plus, you can focus more on your main profession like tailoring, farming, etc.
