How To Make A Wooden Shovel In Durango Wildlands

A wooden shovel is one of the most basic tool in Durango. The main purpose of shovel is for gathering soil.

Making a wooden shovel is very easy. First you need to have your Weapon Crafting skill at level 10 in order to learn the wooden shovel skill. You can instantly reach level 20 weapon crafting skill if you chose Engineer class in the character selection. Otherwise, just gather lots of pebbles and craft lots of stone blade until your weapon crafting skill reach level 10.

Then go to Skills > Weapon Crafting > Tool > Wooden Shovel and learn the skill. You have to spend 2 Skill Points for that.

You now have the ability to craft a wooden shovel. The next thing to do is to gather the materials needed.

Materials you need to make Wooden Shovel:
  • 1 Wood Pillar - Just gather a log from trees
  • 1 Stick - You can use a branch or a leg bone.
  • 1 Straw Rope - go to Craft/Build > Material Processing > Straw Rope to craft one. You need 2x roots or flax.

After gathering all the required materials go to Craft/Build > Tool > Wooden Shovel and craft your wooden shovel.

With your shovel, you can now gather mud. Mud is often used for farming and for making furnaces.

You can use your wooden shovel as a weapon but it is not advisable. Tools are not meant to be an effective weapon. Make a standard bow if you want to have a more powerful weapon.
